Moua Toua Ter, Secret War veteran leader in the Xieng Khouang Province, reported that starting at 9:00 a.m. on February 27th and 28th, 2006 the Lao military camps surrounding the Pha Sie area are firing DK-82 mortar at his groups who were desperately out in search for food. Yang Toua Thao, another Secret War veteran leader in the Xieng Khouang Province, also reported the same activities his group is experiencing. Yang Toua Thao informed that since the 20th of February to the present time the Lao military have been firing mortar at his people. Moua Toua Ter pleaded, "We do not know what their next military campaign is going to be like, but I am pleading to the international community to please intervene and save our people in the jungle. I am Moua Toua Ter."
A telephone report on March 3, 2006 from Wa Leng Lee's group, the group visited by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in March 2004, stated that the Lao military have sent military trucks carrying a combination of Lao and Vietnamese soldiers numbering about 100 men, from Muang Mok to attack his group in Phu Nanon on February 26, 2006. Blackbirds, FFC's underground network, confirmed that on March 1, 2006 one battalion of Lao PDR was sent from Xieng Khouang, previously known as Xaysomboune Special Zone, into Muang Mok. The Communist troops are divided into three groups to attack Wa Leng Lee's group in Phu Nanon. The first group came from Muang Mok and Nan Khoang, consisted of Battalion Pa Chai, Battalion 14, Battalion 256 and a battalion of Vietnamese numbering 80 men. The second group came from Hah Sie, Mong Bann and Non Luah consisted of Battalion 615, Battalion 616, and some Vietnamese troops. The third group came from Muang Nga, consisted of Battalion 117 and Vietnamese troops. As observed by the Blackbirds, all Lao military groups are accompanied by Vietnamese troops. The latest report came from Wa Leng Lee on March 26, 2006 indicated his group is completely surrounded by LPDR and SRV troops and unable to access any food sources at this time. Wa Leng Lee also reported that on March 19, 2006 his group was ambushed by the joint military of LPDR and SRV. Three of his people were kill in the incident. More detail report is to be followed.
The Fact Finding Commission is dedicated to exposing the plight of the veterans of the U.S. Secret War who have hid in the mountains and jungles of Laos for the past thirty years to escape the retribution of the communist Lao government for their loyalty services to the United States during the War in Southeast Asia.
