Communist Lao troops continues to hunt down veterans of the U.S. Secret Army and their families in the jungles of Laos.

 

 

LAOS - At 0300 (3:00 a.m.) on July 4, 2007, two companies from the Lao military attacked the Hmong community in three villages in Muang Houay Xay, Bokeo Province, northwestern Laos.  The village of Ban Sai Cha Lurn, Ban Huay Qhai and Ban Fai consist about 500 Hmong families.  The two Lao companies allegedly open fired at the villages.  Thus far, two people have been confirmed dead – Chue Her Moua and Zong Lee Moua.  The Lao military has imprisoned 37 Hmong villagers; one of them is a Hmong pastor by the name of Xai Ching Lee who is the brother of Nhia Leng Lee, Mayor of Muang Huay Sai.  So far, only ten of the thirty-seven people imprisoned by the communist Lao troops have been confirmed.  These ten individuals are: 1. Xai Nhia Vue - 45 years of age, 2. Xai Nhia Vue’s son, 3. Xai Ger Hang - 50 years of age, 4. Neng Hang – 25, 5. Xai Ching Lee, 6. Doua Yang – 38, 7. Boua Ma Yang – 30, 8. Thao Mai Yang – 35, 9. Zong Leng Lee – 50, and 10. Nhia Vue Lee who is priest.  The other men from these villages havh fled to hide in the jungle, fearful for their lives.  As of to date, one battalion of Vietnamese troops has setup an encampment in the area where the men are hiding.  The Vietnamese troops have a 155 mm artillery stationed at the site.  Thus far, there have been no independent or diplomatic sources to verify this incident.  Ban Cha Lurn village consist mainly of Hmong refugees who were originally repatriated by the UNHCR from Ban Vinai Camp in Thailand in the 1990s.

 

June 4, 2007 – June 29, 2007, Vang Chia reported that from June 4th to June 29th 2007, combined Lao military and Vietnamese military launched attacks against Vang Chia’s group at Phu Bia Mountains.  Thus far, 57 people had been killed.  42 of the 57 are women and children (under the age of 15), and 15 are elderly men and women.

 

 

The Fact Finding Commission is dedicated to exposing the plight of the veterans of the U.S. Secret War who have hid in the mountains and jungles of Laos for the past thirty years to escape the retribution of the communist Lao government for their loyalty services to the United States during the U.S. Secret War in Southeast Asia.
