He was asked if there was any reason to believe any of these bombs are chemical bombs?  He states, "I witnessed and video taped children that were obviously exposed to chemicals.  When the bombs exploded several children became sick and died. As you see in the video several children have been exposed to chemicals.  The children have an upset stomach, diarrhea with blood, and then their belly swell up.  They get thinner and thinner. Their teeth became abscessed, loose, and then fall out.  Those that are exposed to chemicals become blind.  At the end they suffer paralysis, and death.
If the person exposed to the chemical was not healthy he or she would die within twenty to twenty-five days, their health starts to deteriorate, they soon have symptoms of chemical poisoning, they too die.  There is some relief from herbs but there are no medications, no remedies to cure them.  All die that are exposed to the chemicals, states Pasurt.
The video shows one scene of four children suffering from severe symptoms of chemical poisoning, they are unable to move.  The oldest, a ten-year-old boy is observed struggling to breath.  The boy had been ill for about a month, he would soon die.
He was asked how the children became exposed to the chemicals.  He stated, "When communist forces fire mortars and bombs they contain chemicals. When they explode the chemicals stick to the food sources." "Children don't know.  They are hungry, they are starved, and so when they are out of their parents control they grab things to eat.  They eat things that have chemicals so that is why the children get exposed to chemicals."
When adults eat fruits or vegetation out in the jungle they too, as the children get sick and suffer the symptoms of chemical poisoning. "They try to get food for the family.  They don't know what foods have been exposed to chemicals so they grab it and eat. Soon they too are suffering the symptoms of chemical poisoning.

At one point during the video taping of the LPDR encampments, Passurt came within 500 to 600 meters. He states, I was close enough that if I had an AK 47 I could've shoot and killed a communist soldier."

Passurt talked of one terrible experience were he was stung by a swarm of bees while videotaping communist military activities.  "We were videotaping in one location when the Communist fired a mortar and it dropped close to us.  Dirt flew over us.  The helicopter continued to fly over our location.  So we moved to a new location.  I didn't know it but there was a beehive there.  I was unable to move my head.  I was unable to scream.  I was unable to do anything.  If I moved the communist forces would see me and shoot.  I did the best I could.  You can see on the video all I was taping was the bamboo and trees."
In closing, Passurt states, "I would like to be the voice of the people in the jungle.  Every family cried, they are poor, they have no food and they have family members who now live in the United States.  I would like to be their voice and let the people who live in the United States know that those people in the jungle are waiting for them.  Every day they hope and pray to be saved from the Communist forces of Laos.
So please, please do whatever you can to help the people in the jungle.  They are your people - so please help, financially help or do whatever you can to help them. "
