Laos (FFC) In a plea to the United Nations, the United States Congress, and international human rights organizations, U. S. Secret War veterans, Tong Chia Vue and Wameng Yang reported heavy communist military action against them and their families in Borikhamxay Province. They reported that on n February 19, 2003 at 10:00 a.m., the government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR) used two MI-8 helicopters to drop bombs and launch rockets on their village at Nyuen Namxang. The communists flew three sorties that day and killed 55 people. A total of five hundred people who were exposed to chemical gas and wounded by bomb explosions and gun fires. The leaders stated, "We are requesting every agency and organization to immediately intervene and resolve this perpetual genocide against us U.S. Secret War veterans. We are now surrounded by a total of 400 military troops, 200 North Vietnamese and 200 Pathet Lao. They are exterminating, chasing, attacking, and killing us at Nyuen Namxang, Pou Nanounh, Nam Mar, and Nakoun in Borikhamxay Province." "Therefore, we are asking every agency and organization to immediately intervene and provide humanitarian aids for us, such as food, medical supplies, and clothing. We have nowhere to go and no safe place to live. Women and children are being killed daily by attacks from the ground and the air, as well as chemical gas. We are hereby urging the United Nations, United States Congress, and Human Rights Organizations to immediately intervene and rescue our lives." In their plea Vue and Yang requested the United States Ambassador in Vientiane to intervene requesting the LPDR government to ceasefire and stop bringing North Vietnamese troops to exterminate us U.S. Secret War veterans and our families. "We are asking you, the US Ambassador, to take immediate action by flying over to Mouang Namxang and the surrounding areas in Bolikhamxay province. This should allow you to see the villages and food sources that were destroyed and burned on February 19, 2003 by the North Vietnamese and Pathet Lao forces." They reported the communist military forces were made up of 200 North Vietnamese troops which came to Laos through the new road from Vietnam; 100 of the 200 Pathet Lao troops came from Xiengkhouang province and the other 100 were from Bolikhamxay
